Privacy Policy.
How HOMEMATE collects, uses, protects and retains personal information.
Effective date: 8 August 2026
Information we collect
Account details, contact information, saved addresses and optional location coordinates; provider skills, service areas, KYC and bank details; bookings, job status, PIN verification, payments, refunds and settlements; reviews, support messages, notifications and technical security records.
How we use information
To authenticate users, match services and professionals, prevent overlapping assignments, price bookings, verify payments, generate invoices, administer payouts, respond to support issues, prevent abuse and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Sensitive provider information
Identity documents are stored outside the public directory. PAN, GST, bank account and IFSC values are encrypted at rest by the application. Access to KYC and financial functions is role- and permission-controlled and administrative access is audited.
Sharing
Customers and assigned providers receive only information reasonably needed to complete the booking. Payment gateways, mail/SMS providers and infrastructure operators process limited information under their own terms. We may disclose records where lawfully required.
Retention and security
Records are retained only as long as needed for service, safety, tax, accounting, dispute and legal purposes. Controls include prepared SQL statements, password hashing, CSRF protection, secure sessions, file validation, webhook verification, rate limiting and audit logs. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may update profile and address information, manage favourites and notifications, request correction or deletion where legally available, and submit privacy questions through the Contact page.
Cookies
A secure session cookie maintains sign-in and CSRF state. Device-local storage remembers the selected city and optional browser-detected coordinates. We do not use browser storage for authoritative booking or financial records.
